I create functional, interchangeable fashion jewelry for the fearless fashionistas of the world. My work features a mix of hand forged copper, brass, gold-filled, sterling silver and gold metals, natural raw crystals, faceted gemstones, colorful pearls and precious gemstone beads. I love to work with recycled metals and use natural materials from my garden. My new work features plant bits, aromatic twigs, leaves, herbs and flowers. I also love incorporating my mixed media abstract paintings with found shells and beach glass I find when I hike. I am inspired by rich textures, brightly colored gemstones, geometric shapes, architecture and nature. I use a mix of techniques such as fire painting and hammered textures, to create one-of-a-kind, unique pieces rich in design, texture, and color. I am extremely passionate about education, health and fitness.
In my free time, I love dancing, reading, painting, cooking, gardening, working out, boating and I LOVE to travel.
After my medical discharge from serving on active duty in the Army, I attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles where I earned my Associate of Arts Degree in Jewelry and Metalsmithing Arts. Upon graduating, I immediately attended GIA Carlsbad and earned my Graduate Gemologist diploma and my Comprehensive CAD/CAM for Jewelry Certificate. I have been creating and designing my own jewelry for over 24 years, 7 of which have been professional. In 2020, I was awarded the Female Veteran Grant from the Women's Jewelry Association sponsored by Jeweler’s Mutual Group.
